Due to high river and continued silt and sand erosion, the natural pathway for the river built up as the river slowed entering the lake. This caused the river to change paths.
The river’s path this fall can be seen in red. The river was carrying and depositing silt and sand back toward the swim beach area. As the lake was lowered the river then cut back toward its natural path in yellow toward the dam and carried away much of the deposited silt and sand. Frahm has been engaged to extend the existing jetty 100’-200’ (depending on budget) to help keep the river to the south and flowing toward the dam.
