Oh, the the sights, smells, and sounds of camping. Crackling fire, roasted marshmallows, cool breezes, twinkling stars overhead, and the melody of crickets and frogs in the distance. There’s nothing better, and there’s nothing quite like it.
Lake Ericson offers great camping experiences and accommodations. Just south of the dam are 10 sites with an electrical hook up. Or you may camp along the Cedar River camp ground location of 11 sites with an electrical hook up. A water hydrant is available at both locations to fill upon arrival prior to parking. There are also several charcoal grills and fire rings in the area.

Camping & Lake Rules
Payment is due in advance for electrical hook-up campsites. This will guarantee that your electric pedestal at the campsite will be unlocked upon your arrival. Otherwise, you will lose your reservation. The pedestal will remain locked until donation for the site(s) is paid in full. If not paid after calling in for your reservation, you will be charged an additional $10 “service fee” to have the lock removed from your electrical hookup. Check-in for “drive-in” campers will be from 10:00am-9:00pm for the lock to be removed for electricity at your site.
Local board members’ phone numbers are posted to contact to unlock the pedestal when donations for the site are in-hand. Each paid campsite with one camper will only be allowed one tent for an additional $10 per night.
